Mel Lee
Mel Lee has been singing and playing since shortly after the invention of music, and many of
his songs are nearly that old. Mel's repertoire consists largely of ballads and story songs,
old and new, serious and silly, but all decidedly outside the range of a juke box. The songs
may or may not be accompanied by guitar, cittern, Appalachian dulcimer, autoharp, and/or the
audience. A life-long student of traditional music, Mel has led various workshops, produced
concerts, and is producer/host of "Mel Lee's Songbag" on public radio WEMC. He has played
with a variety of bands and is currently with the eclectic folk band Nonesuch. Expect to hear
songs to make you think, grin, and sing along.

Plum Jam
Plum Jam plays traditional music with a kick. Songs with sweet harmony vocals by guitarist Sandy
Goodson and bassist Janice Malec, who are sisters, alternate with tunes and songs led by
multi-instrumentalist Paul Rosen. All of this is fueled by the infectious drumming of Drayton
Turner, Sandy's son. Plum Jam traverses the folk landscape from old-time to Cajun to Western
Swing as casually as a stroll through the park.
